چکیده

Vehicular Delay-Tolerant Networking (VDTN) was proposed as a new variant of a delay/disruptive-tolerant network, designed for vehicular networks. These networks are subject to several limitations including short contact durations, connectivity disruptions, network partitions, intermittent connectivity, and long delays. To address these connectivity issues, an asynchronous, store-carry-and-forward paradigm is combined with opportunistic bundle replication, to achieve multi-hop data delivery. Since VDTN networks are resourceconstrained, for example in terms of communication bandwidth and storage capacity, a key challenge is to provide scheduling and dropping policies that can improve the overall performance of the network. This paper investigates the efficiency and tradeoffs of several scheduling and dropping policies enforced in a Spray and Wait routing scheme. It has been observed that these policies should give preferential treatment to less replicated bundles for a better network performance in terms of delivery ratio and average delivery delay. Traffic differentiation support in vehicular delay-tolerant networks

Vehicular Delay-Tolerant Networking (VDTN) is a Delay-Tolerant Network (DTN) based architecture concept for transit networks, where vehicles movement and their bundle relaying service is opportunistically exploited to enable non-real time applications, under environments prone to connectivity disruptions, network partitions and potentially long delays. In VDTNs, network resources may be limited...

پروتکل مسیریابی خودتطبیقی با محدوده تأخیر برای شبکه های موردی بین خودرویی

Abstract Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) is a particular type of mobile ad hoc network in which vehicles communicate between themselves using wireless antenna.  Due to unique characteristics of VANETs (e.g. high mobility of nodes and dynamic topology), routing is one of the challenging tasks in such networks. Consequently, delay tolerant networks which consider the disconnect nature of...

Optimal Transmission and Scheduling in Delay Tolerant Network

Delay-tolerant networking (DTN) is an approach to computer network architecture that seeks to address the technical issues in heterogeneous networks that may lack continuous network connectivity. Generally in networks the ability to transport, or route, data from a source to a destination is a fundamental ability all communication networks must have. Delay and disruption-tolerant networks (DTNs...

Scalable Schedule Routing and Minimizing Delay in Tolerant Networks

There are many routing strategies for message delivery in Delay Tolerant Networks. Among them Multicopying routing strategies have been considered the most applicable DTNs. Epidemic routing and two-hop forwarding routing are the two best approaches of DTN. These two approaches belong to multicopying routing strategies as they allow multiple message replicas to increase message delivery delay. T...

Third-order Decentralized Safe Consensus Protocol for Inter-connected Heterogeneous Vehicular Platoons

In this paper, the stability analysis and control design of heterogeneous traffic flow is considered. It is assumed that the traffic flow consists of infinite number of cooperative non-identical vehicular platoons. Two different networks are investigated in stability analysis of heterogeneous traffic flow: 1) inter-platoon network which deals with the communication topology of lead vehicles and...
